Any reviews on Tech Shop camp? How did your child do and did they make cool things?
TIA |
| DC loved it. He learned how to use a wide variety of advanced equipment that he never could have access to otherwise, and is very proud of what he made. I think the stuff is secondary to the process for him. |
| My son loved it! FYI, we couldn't pick him up when camp ended, so signed him up for after care. The first day he said it was really boring, but later in the week, he got to just keep working on the machines, and asked us not to get him early. I love that place, and only wish he could continue to use the equipment. (Well, he can, but we have to be there. My supervising him on this equipment is a joke.) |
| PP here--I should add that our son has gone to lots of camps of this sort of ilk where he knew everything they taught. He was at the low age end of the upper group (so he's 13, and was in the 13-17 group), and that was a good fit for him. He knew how to do some of the stuff, but definitely learned new things and he said he improved his skills in other areas. |
