Thats far from the abdominal area though. All I know for sure is that the BRF royally messed up the messaging on all of this, the fake pictures and half truths have led us all to wonder what the heck is actually going on. Poor kids and Kate.

The only people who feel they've been "mislead" are psycho trolls. Normal people understand that she's entitled to her privacy.

DP. Name-calling is not an effective argument. Even those of us who believe she had abdominal surgery and cancer, and who aren't sure about the whole facelift thing, can acknowledge that her PR team really screwed up in a way that raised a lot of questions.

Also, "misled."

Better question. If she gained 50 pounds, would the eating disorder and conspiracy crowd not comment and bash her for that too? Perhaps they would pretend they were just concerned that she's depressed because her husband is having an affair? Or that she deliberately gained weight to embarrass the palace? Or that it's a consequence of her laziness? Or she's hiding something about her health and they demand her diagnosis? Or maybe the larger Kate isn't really Kate but a double?

(I think she would look good fuller).

Exactly. No matter what she does or how she looks, the unhinged Kate-haters will criticize her. I don't like her because of how she looks, but because of what a nice person and good mother she seems to be. I'm not sure why that triggers some of these posters or why on earth they are so critical of this person who has done nothing to hurt anyone. I don't care what she looks like or whether she gains weight - and I find their concern-trolling over her to be seriously gross.

You disagree, and that's fine. What's not fine is you insulting everyone you disagree with, because that's not an argument. Also, you take all this very personally, because apparently you're so psychologically enmeshed with her in your own mind.

I don't get it. Kate gets 10x the hate as any other member of the BRF except Andrew (as well he should). As a pp said, she is so inoffensive. She's the type of girl in HS that was called "pretty" and "sweet" and that alone drove the girls on the fringe into hating her. The biggest complaint people can muster is that she doesn't work hard enough? She's not even in the Line of Succession! And on that front, she does more for Britain than some single digit LoS members do. Truth.

Yes, of course. Elizabeth was beloved throughout her life, regardless of beauty or weight.

Elizabeth had an amazing work ethic, though. Kate, not so much.

Even Elizabeth was pretty unpopular in the wake of Diana's death and the Welsh mining disaster, so she wasn't beloved throughout her life. I think people came around to Elizabeth when they saw her working like a horse in her 70s and 80s, especially during the London Olympics when Britain was riding high.

“work ethic” means actually doing productive work. I’m not sure what else you think Kate should be doing other than her actual job description which is bearing and raising heirs, which she seems to be doing a pretty good job of.

They’re all in school now and have been for a while. She also has a large staff. Last year she had way fewer engagements than any other royal.

That’s not real work. Her real work was having the kids and there’s no purpose to her going around and cutting ribbons at community centers or whatever.

No purpose? Do you hear yourself?

Maybe you’re a troll but I can’t tell.

Ask yourself why Princess Anne and Sophie, neither of whom is in line for the throne, are so respected.

It’s 2024, and a woman who could do so much for her country but chooses to sit at home and be waited on by a staff of 60 is not going to be loved. Whatever you think about SAHMs, and I think SAHM is fine— this is not it. Do you remember how she was mocked for waiting 10 years while holding exactly one pt job for 6 months, then some job taking photos for her parents’ business that nobody thought was a real job?

Her greatest strength now is being relatable. Conferring with her dressmakers all day is not that.

People mock her for anything and everything. They would mock her for working too much. Just look at this thread. She is literally recovering from cancer and there are many people mocking her.

You're right that her strength is being a relatable princess. And she is continuing to perform admirably.

Why would they mock her for working too much yet they don’t mock Princess Anne or Sophie for the same?

Because they aren't jealous of them?

DP. That's ridiculous on the face of it. I can see how the Disney Princess people would think that, though.

Cutting ribbons isn't hard. She gets driven or helicoptered over to the site. Somebody briefs her in the car (that used to be my job when I was right out of school). She reads a speech, shakes a few hands, cuts the ribbon. Maybe she takes a tour and tries to look interested. Half an hour, or an hour, later, and she's done and back in the car. (Again, nobody is saying she needs to start 12-hour days now, before she's fully healed!).

The fact is that many were complaining about Kate's work ethic before and after her marriage. The Queen was one of those complaining, and that's why Kate got that part-time job working for a friend of Carol's, but she only stuck it out for six months. She also worked one summer on a yacht. Now that she's married, every year some news outlets pore over the royal schedules for engagements, and she's usually near the bottom despite her kids being in school now. Memories of all that are long in Britain. Sure, some will love her no matter what, because they idolize Disney princesses or something, but others resent this and the brf really can't push idleness for either her or William.

It's funny how utterly obsessed you are with her and the minutiae of her life - yet you call anyone who simply likes her a "Disney princess person."

Says the person who labels anyone who likes her a "Disney princess" or a "Power Puff girl." It really is amusing how worked up you are over the BRF's "messaging." It's really disgraceful that they didn't consult YOU first!!

No facelift.

I do believe she has lost more weight. She appeared to be around a size 0. I think normally she is a size 4-6.

Hopefully she gets her strength back.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the same people who hate KM are also the Taylor Swift-haters. Their absurd complaints about both of them are so similar - and dripping with envy.

I'm going to disagree with your comparison somewhat. Taylor puts herself out there bold and unapologetic about doing things her way. Kate goes along to get along, stays in her lane, and raises her kids. She still gets demonized by people here.

Her mom and she were very strategic about meeting William and then she waited 10 years for him to propose, doing virtually nothing with her time during those years. I mean, I sort of admire it all. But not everyone does.

Can you at least agree to stop insulting people? If not then just stop posting, you're embarrassing yourself.

Honestly, the way you guys write about her, it sounds like you think bluebirds should flutter around Kate while she whiles away the time her kids are in school getting pedicures instead of working. And you wonder why people think you have a Disney obsession.

Nobody hates Kate. Let me repeat that: nobody hates Kate. That's a figment of your tortured imagination. Or you're just using it as a super-cheap means to try to shut down conversation.

What people are asking about is her weight, her radiant appearance yesterday, and her job prospects once she's well. You don't like any questions whatsoever, so you call it hate. That's on you.

She's lost weight. No one is going to nail down the reason or reasons why. Creating theories may be fun for you, but it doesn't provide answers.

She looked nice yesterday. She is being dragged for her face looking too nice. I don't see how she would have had cosmetic surgery while going through chemo. Again, creating theories may be fun for some.

And what about her job prospects. What should she do differently? To me, a calendar full of factory tours and panels on seed conservation sounds deadly dull. That was the style of a reign that began in 1952. Prince Charles doesn't even want to carry on the same way. Look how his calendar differs from his mother's. By the time William takes over the roles could be much different.

Prince Charles is working his butt off despite having cancer. Will and Kate have been dragged in the British Press for neither of them working much.

It's sort of shocking you think that because they might be bored learning about seed conservation, it's OK for the poor dears to idle their days away binging TV series or something. What exactly do you think their "much different" roles would look like, if they don't involve actually working?
