Not anymore. |
I think it was something she enjoyed doing from a young age, but she doesn't speak about like other actors do. More like a hobby she could profit from. That's the gist from a quick Google search. I think blogging was actually pretty passionate about but idk how you could translate to $$ now. |
She's not going to get the type of roles offered to younger women like Florence Pugh, Zendaya, Margot Robbie or Emma Stone. She's more suited to the Hallmark Channel. |
I am confused by this line of conversation. She was a professional actor for 15 years. She has a degree in drama from Northwestern. I think she also did theater in high school? How does that add up to "a hobby she could profit from"? Is my legal career a hobby I just thought I could profit from? All I did was get a law degree and then practice for 15 years. Nothing serious. |
There are many actors who don't take their clothes off. |
Well yeah, she is a decade older than the oldest of those women. Of course she won't get the same roles. Here are some other actresses around her same age: Michelle Dockery, Abigail Spencer, Greta Lee, Julia Stiles, Natalie Dormer. None of those women are playing the mother of the romantic lead in anything. They don't get ingenue roles, this is the "wife" age. And I don't see Meghan taking roles where she plays someone's wife because it would create a ton of drama with regards to her real life marriage because of her husband's family and the drama around that. It wouldn't be worth the money she could make, I totally get why she'd pursue a lifestyle brand that would make her less vulnerable and likely be more lucrative in the long run. |
There's a difference between not taking off your clothes for a role and not doing anything romantic. Do you really not see how Meghan even kissing or cuddling with an actor as part of a role would be considered scandalous at this point? People would get so, so mad. |
If you took an extended leave wold you go back to law or reinvent yourself with a totally different career? |
Ok, then she probably didn't enjoy it enough to consider a limited return. |
They could come up with a role that didn't require it. They do it for men all the time. |
The might do it for a bankable star, but that's not what we're dealing with here. |
I thought Netflix was still interested in making shows with her? |
Not where she is the lead. They nixed some cartoon she was working on because they knew children wouldn't care that Meghan was behind it. |
I don't get the impression she cares about making those people mad. They are not her fans. |

Below is Meghan's biography from her own website. She seems to have more than enough acclaim and career background to parlay into anything she wants. I actually wasn't aware of all of this stuff she's done. It's quite impressive. Even if ARO doesn't pan out, she will be fine!
