two areas where he is failing are the southern border, and out of control violent crime in cities. The border is a policy choice that is 100% on him. In fairness, the POTUS does not have a lot to do with crime in major cities, but he owns it politically, because he was elected on the BLL/defund the police wave in 2020.

Also it's important to realize that Republicans oppose everything he does. Republicans won't pass anything - even when it's exactly what they've asked for.
