I would appreciate any advice for a child who is sensitive to that "fishy" taste some supplements have. Have you found success with fish oils? Or with gummies?
we use the barleans lemon flavored fish oil. I call it a lemon vitamin. I used to buy it at Costco but have not seen it lately.
We use the Nordic Naturals Complete Omega, nick the gel capsules, and squirt it into vanilla yogurt. My kids have never complained about a fishy flavor.
Coromega chocolate orange squeeze packets!
One can of sardines from costco per week. They don't like the pills.
Nordic Naturals strawberry gel caps were the best ones that we found. They're small and the flavor isn't too bad.
We use the gummy worm ones from Whole Foods.
Nordic naturals omega 3 gummy fish.
We use the Barleans Mango Swirl fish oi. Doesn't taste like fish oil at all. WF carries it. |
We use Vayarin, which is a medical food supplement prescribed by our psychiatrist: http://www.vayarin.com/what-is-vayarin/
We use Amway's Brainiums in strawberry. they are actually good, it is insane.
Vayarin
I've heard great things about smarty pants multi that had omega 3 but we haven't tried them yet since he loves his 365 multi gummy and Nordic naturals omega 3 gummy. Nordic naturals make great ones that don't taste fishy at all.
Nordic naturals complete or nordic naturals ultimate in the liquid -it's lemon flavor and you can easily hide it in pudding, yogurt etc.
Nordic naturals!
