I haven't been to Kings Dominion in at least 15 years. My son is going tomorrow with his camp. I talked to the counselor this morning and the kids will mostly be on their own during the day (most kids are in the 11-13 range).
Quick question - I know at Hershey Park, they have small "cubbies" at the big roller coasters, where you can throw a backpack, etc. and pick it up after the ride. Is something like this at Kings Dominion? I know they have lockers that you can rent, but we're just looking/thinking about 5-minute storage, not longer term storage. Thanks. |
| Yes. Most of the rides have this. They are divided, and what happens is when a ride leaves the station, an employee moves the slider to the other side so people can get their stuff from the right bin. |
Thanks a lot! It gives me hope. I mostly trust him for smaller scale things but he's never been to an amusement park without an adult to carry the "stuff." ~OP |
| Ask him to carry it in a bag (i.e., don't leave a cell phone in the bin uncovered). |
I think some people like to put everything in a bag, so nothing will fall out. In addition, this park in particular has a free water park, which doesn't open till noon (I think), so one would have to carry their swimsuit, sunscreen, etc for a bit. The park has metal detectors as well, which include bag searches. |
