Cheap hotel in DC

| I would advise against this plan. Dirt cheap hotels around here are for hookers and drug dealers. |

| Try Hotwire. My friend got a room at the Palomar Hotel for $100 last weekend. Definitely pay attention to the neighborhood. Dirt cheap isn't cheap when you get robbed and/or assualted. |

| There is a Days Inn at Van Ness that is safe and reasonable |

My dad stays there when he visits. He gets rates as low as $75 and usually not higher than $150/night there. A 5 minute walk to the van ness metro. |
