Lions Club will gladly take eyeglasses. I have drop boxes from Lions at fairly random places - even my dry cleaner's has one.

My dad is a 50-year Lion and my granddad was 65+ year Lion. It's a wonderful organization for the visually impaired.

So glad you are donating them and not throwing them out.

Walmart has donation box.

"Look Again" on King St. in Alexandria. It's a thrift store that benefits the blind. I took all my mom's old eyeglasses after she passed away, and they gladly took them.

i'm in NW DC. If someone knows exactly where a donation box is in the area, can you let me know? Thanks.

You can google lions club, put In your location, and it will tell you where the close boxes are.

I am in NWDC and can't figure out where to donate my old presciption glasses. The Lions Club website search function doesn't work, and I don't own a car. Reviving this thread in case anyone has any DC/metro-accessible leads.
