Hi, wondering if anyone has had experience with LV customer service on an issue like this. I own this bag: http://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/products/neverfull-mm-epi-006906#M41159 in purple.
My mom bought it for me about three years ago (its definitely real). This summer I pulled it out and noticed the rubber on the straps seemed to be a little tacky. Today, I had kind of forgotten about it and am wearing a white shirt. Well my whole shoulder is covered in black rubber(?) I guess from the straps. This is a 2000 dollar purse, I feel like it shouldn't be melting rubber onto my shoulder within three years. Is this something the store might address without a receipt? |
| Did you leave it in a hot car all day? It should be a leather bag with leather straps. Take it back to the store and they will replace or fix it for you if it's authentic. |

Hi ~
Have u go to the store and get replaced ? It happened to my Pallas Straps too.. It seems melting ..

| i have no experience with this bag, but i have had lower budget leather bags and they have used some kind of synthetic product to bind the edges of the leather together to make the strap (a tubular strap; not a flat strap). Could be that is happening? |
| It's the stuff they use to seal the edges of the strap together. I think they use it on some wallets too because I had that issue with a wallet. |
| I had the exact same experience with my Epi Neverfull. I took it back to the LV store for repair. Because they no longer carried my color, they gave me full store credit for another bag (2.5 years after I bought it). I was quite impressed with the way they handled it and was happy to choose a new non-Epi bag that will hopefully last longer. Take it back!!! |
| Mine is a LV Estrella and the staps are meliting! Do they replace the staps ? |
they can replace the straps on some bags, take it to your nearest LV boutiqe and se what they will do. |
