Best online payment for PTA (or similar group)

Our school PTA is trying to figure out the best way to collect money from parents for things like memberships. We'll continue to collect checks (which they can mail or drop off at school) but would love to have an online option that would be easy for both parents and volunteers.
In the past, members looked at using PayPal, but as I understand it, that would have required one volunteer to submit personal information in order to be the point person. Someone else suggested Square, which I don't know anything about. Does anyone have ideas of which platforms we should consider? |

| When I was the treasurer of a PTA we started using PayPal and it was fairly easy to use and increased our memberships and other revenue. It's a lot easier these days to click on a website with a credit card than to whip out the checkbook. We amended our by-laws so that the treasurer "owned" the PayPal account, and when I left, a new person took over, we changed account details, etc. It worked well for us. |
