Very Fast San Diego Move

My husband was just transferred to San Diego, and our 5 month old DD and I will be moving out there to join him next month. Any thoughts or advise one could offer as to pediatricians, areas, activities, resources, or anything you think might be helpful would be greatly appreciated. We will be living in the La Jolla area.
