I am bummed I had no reaction to the 50 mg of clomid. My dose is increasing this month and was hoping for better results.

Yes, it does happen that you don't ovulate on clomid 50mg but ovulate on clomid 100mg, it happened to a friend of mine, she even got pregnant on 100mg. As for me, I ovulated on clomid 50mg but ovulated late and did not get pregnant, whereas I did get pregnant on clomid 100mg. Clomid 50mg is a very low dose, lots of women need higher doses. As a matter of fact, some doctors don't even bother prescribing 50mg, they go straight to prescribing 100mg (that's standard practice in Canada). Don't be bummed, it's a long process to find out what medication and what dosage is right for you, it's a long process to get pregnant. Be patient, it will happen.

My Dr. started me on 100 mg. I guess he skips 50 mg altogether. I ovulated late on 100 mg and actually am not sure that I ovulated at all becuase my temperature didn't go up much. But, the following month on the same dosage, I ovulated on day 14 and had a great response. Sometimes I think it just takes a few cycles to see if Clomid will work for you.
