Transportation to the Inn at Little Washington

Anonymous
Hi there.

My DH and I have reservations coming up at the Inn at Little Washington. We've never been. Any tips to ensure a great experience?

We looked into staying there, but at $800/night felt it wasn't worth it.

Anywhere nearby that might be nice and more affordable to stay?

Or, I'm thinking that our money might be better spent just hiring a car service to take us out there and bring us back? Any recommendations for a car service you've used for this?

Any advice appreciated....Thanks!

This is a good idea. I can't imagine the room would really be worth it. Alternatively you could stay at another inn in town. I would hope you could find transportation for $300.

I'm all for high end resorts and have spent 2k a night before but simply don't see how an inn could be worth $800 plus tax.

There is another B&B just around the corner that is much more reasonable. Can't remember the name but google should be able to find it. We've also used Chariots for Hire for car transportation to/from when we weren't staying around overnight.

I bet you could get an uber from the town into the restaurant and back.

I went with my best friend and she drove and only drank one glass of wine.

Foster Harris House is a popular alternative place to stay overnight.

Oh, and we were able to tour the kitchen, meet the chef and get photos with him, etc. So see if you can do that! It was very cool.

We have used ING Limousine last night to take our group of four and round trip was $450. Great service and still cheaper then a hotel room. Best

We have stayed there (anniversary) and my husband also just drove us home one time. Ride service is a good idea.

Uber is always a good option. You can use UberBLACK for a more high end driving experience.

We dined and stayed overnight.

Had a front room with the balcony porch. Loved it! So great to not end the night with a long drive back or staying somewhere else.

Bonus -- brunch the next day was wonderful!

We've only been once and glad we decided to do it up!

We stayed here as well and liked it. I think it has recently changed hands from the husband/wife owners

Oh and it’s like 1-2 blocks away

+1 We also at a lovely experience at the Foster Harris House, but haven't been since the owners changed. Definitely worth investigating though.
