| I'd be happy for any suggestions for 4, 5, 7 day. Departing from East Coast best. Or if you know a clearinghouse where I can get info, that also would be great. I have never been on a cruise. Looking for 2 adults and 2 children early 20s. |

If you leave from Baltimore you can take a cruise to Bermuda or down to Florida and Bahamas.
But if you fly to Florida, then you have more itinerary options, you can go to more Islands in the Caribbean. Check out Www.Cruisecritics.com |
| Thanks. Wouldn't Florida/Bahamas be very hot in August (and hurricanes more likely)? |
| Have you considered Alaska? |
| Go north, not south in August. Try Nova Scotia. |
| August is a bad time to cruise from the east coast--sweltering hot, hurricane threat. You need to go north from the East Coast, or, if you can swing it, head to the Mediterranean or Alaska. |
| The Baltic. The Med is HOT in August. |

The Caribbean and the Florida beaches are really not any hotter than the D.C. area in August.
I was going to suggest an Alaska cruise, but you'd have to fly to the west coast for that. |
We did the baltic in August a few years ago. Left from Copenhagen where we added a day on either end of the cruise. The weather was a lovely 70* the whole time. |
