Middle School field day

SO I helped out in Field day for my 14 year old DD. She is going to 9th grade next year, so I deiced to take a day of work and help out doing field day. The kids were having races. the winner gets a ticket. About 10% of the kids who lost also wanted a ticket because they had fun. I am AA so we are not used to giving everyone a price. Even tho I am not used to give everyone a price if I didn't know the kid I give them a ticket for "trying" is it normal for kids who don't win still get a reward? School is 80% white so is it a white people thing? No offense. just wondering

Really? No black kid would ever whine for a ticket if he saw other kids getting one?

Sorry, don't buy it. All kids ask for things. It's up to you to give it to them or say "no."

Your post is confusing, but all you have to so is stand by the rules and use your common sense. No winning, no ticket. Period. Today's youth are incredibly entitled - they will always want everything they can wheedle or demand out of you. Don't give in.

Yes, it is a white people thing. It is crazy and should be stopped. Yes, I'm white.
