What clothes to pack for a Mediterranean cruise in late Sept?

We're a family with 2 kids under 4 and my mother in law will be going for 8 days plus a few additional days in Barcelona at the end of September. The destinations are Barcelona, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Florence, Marseille and Palma De Mallorca.
What clothes should we pack for ourselves? |

| We went in early September last year and it was still brutally hot. I think it will still be warm in late September. I would take summer clothes, except I would add a light jacket or sweater for evenings on the water, as the breeze can make it seem chillier. |
