Help! Dog got into the trash

Our dog got into the trash today. I know for sure she got into butter and chicken bones....who knows what else.

My DH was home and said he caught her getting out of the shower and within am hour she threw up what looked like chicken bones. Soft and the puke itself was watery and yellow. She also had butter on her mat.

Should we take her to the emergency vet?? What do I need to look out for?

Nah, you are fine. Watch out for diaherrea.

I am not a vet, and am not sure what to watch for. But, I would keep an eye on her. Chances are she will be fine.

And, I am a little confused.... was your DH getting out of the shower or your dog?

Lastly, our dog used to get into the trash all the time. We invested (and I use this word because of the expense) in a Simple Human trash can with a step opening. It is wonderful. We have an 80 lb. dog... he cannot knock it over and he cannot get into it. Highly recommend it.

Thanks. Sorry- he was getting out of the shower when he caught her in the trash. He takes long showers so who knows how long she had in the trash.

I'm worried about dehydration with her.
