| For instance, would you be willing to spend $15? |
| No, not me. Maybe 8. |
| Zero. I own none. I'd buy one if like it was a highlight reel of a relative competing in the Olympics or something but otherwise, no. |
| $10 would be the absolute max but the last few movies I've bought have been digital. |
| DVDs are dead. Don't even want 4k on DVD. So sick of having to buy another version of the same thing. I have several storage carousels with DVDs stuffed in them. I don't even get them out anymore, I just rent the movie I already own on iTunes. I know it'll be hard to downloaded 4K but then look how long it's taking them to get the software available for viewing. I'm just in the mindset that I don't have to own it anymore. |
| Maybe $5, but I don't really buy DVD's anymore. |
| I buy them because you never really own the movie on itunes or amazon. You can't even downlosd them anymore. Have you noticed that or read the fine print? |
Zero for me. I've never understood the need to own a movie. Seriously, how many times can you watch a movie? I'm not talking about watching Frozen a million times with a toddler. I will definitely watch a movie I love again if it happens to be on TV, but why the need to own a physical movie? Just adds to the junk that people tend to accumulate. |

| $5 |
Really? I just bought some stuff for my daughter and downloaded it into the iPad. From Amazon. Not sure what you mean? |
|
DVDs of student concert/performances because video/photos are not allowed during the performance? They are a fundraising tool. Strathmore Children's Chorus charges $25, Maryland Youth Ballet $40. DVDs of the special extended edition with cut scenes and actor/director commentary, of a favorite movie of yours? The Lord of the Rings extended edition (12 disc set, every single second of which will be memorized by my son), costs $150. Otherwise I stream from Amazon/Netflix. |
| Why, OP? |
| $5 - unless new release and it's a special occasion. And these are ALL kid-friendly movies so they can watch in the car on a DVD player on long car trips. Not everything is available streaming/downloadable. |
Not everything is free on those, or streamable (especially Netflix). |
