Criminal Immigrants reoffend at higher rates than ICE has suggested.

Anonymous

"They were among the nation’s top priorities for deportation, criminals who were supposed to be sent back to their home countries. But instead they were released, one by one, in secret across the United States. Federal officials said that many of the criminals posed little threat to the public, but did little to verify whether that was true.

It wasn’t."

By not deporting these criminals, ICE and the Obama Administration is directly responsible for the subsequent carnage:

And, just to reiterate, because it cannot be said enough....... Hillary Clinton does not intend to deport people here illegally. So, we are sending the message to those who wish to break the law and come here illegally.... “If you can get here, you can stay.”

This is why I am #NeverHillary.

And, OP - this is more “cover up” by this administration. They love to “tweak” statistics in their favor. It is sickening and very much the reason that Trump has risen in popularity.

Obama has deported more than 2 million people, more than any other President in modern history.

So I am confused. If not dangerous criminals, who has he been deporting?

Exactly why Trump has risen in popularity. Damn right, people are angry, and it's because we know we are being lied to and have been for the past eight years.

This is exactly what we mean by distorted facts and lies. This is simply not true.

His stats are total BS. He changed the meaning of the word “deport.”
Truth is, many illegal criminals - people who have actually committed crimes in our country other than entering illegally - are walking our streets.
This study shows it. And, it was only for a small section of our country.

I don't have stats, but I do know that violent criminals are at the top of the list for removal. College kids with no criminal record are not at the top of the list.

However, it's a really big country, there's a lot of people on all the lists, and only so many government employees in all the different parts of federal immigration. It happens, sometimes quickly and efficiently, often slowly, occasionally with major mistakes. Like a lot of other areas of government.

And, then there is also the agencies who release the criminals - INTENTIONALLY - with little regard to the safety of citizens.
More reason to secure our borders.

Interesting that OP posted an article and then directly blamed Obama and ICE, when the article clearly states that most releases were because of factors outside of ICE, and some were because of factors out of ICE's control. These factors also have very little or nothing to do with Obama.

If the Supreme Court says that ICE cannot lock up aliens subject to removal for more than 6 months, and many nations refuse to cooperate with deportation proceedings, then what else is there to do with them? Violent criminal aliens should not be released into the US, but they cannot be held. So they get released. Should Congress authorize the building of a large permanent prison to house these criminals in effective life sentences? That seems the most straightforward solution. Not very feasible, though.

Please. I am sick and damn tired of this administration turning their backs on the law re: these people coming in, then washing their hands of any issues that come of it.

Apparently, Obama has accomplished a pretty amazing feat. To annoy both you and I, who probably sit across the precise opposite sides of the immigration table.

Either supreme intelligence, of the kind I cannot comprehend...or mere incompetence, leading us to this thread and to Trump.

Yes, we are all sadly aware that for you right wing nutjobs, nothing short of Obama, that black pretender in the White House, personally patrolling the border is enough. Or I guess Obama could just ignore the Supreme Court and build a prison. You guys seem pretty convinced he's a dictator; may as well give you something to freak out about for real.

If Obama would simply ensure that our laws are enforced, that would be enough for me.

Your are ignorant. The Supreme Court ruled on this, the Zadvydas cases. If their home countries will not take them back they can not be held indefinitely. I would be more upset if the administration usurped the Supreme Courts ruling, that would be a dictatorship. Bad Court rulings need to be changed, put the blame where it belongs.
