I am looking to hire someone for a three-week job that could be a great opportunity for someone interested in working with children or clinical research. No experience required. An aptitude for making things fun and strategically working with children is ideal.
The job would be doing a home play-based exercise program for a 2 year old as part of an intensive three week program for constraint-induced movement therapy. The child has a mild form of spastic hemiplegia. The person would shadow the child's occupational and physical therapist the first morning and at least one other morning. In the afternoon the person would work (basically playing) with the child for 3 hours each day following a home exercise program script provided by the clinic. The weeks are June 13, June 20, and June 27 and there may be some opportunity to do some of the work/play on the weekends if it is difficult to do it all during the week. Location: NW Washington DC Please call or text 202.210.4536 if interested. |
| You may want to call the universities and see if they have a student for OT or PT to help. |
Or the University of Maryland kinesiology program. They run a clinic on Saturdays for kids with SNs. They might be able to email out to the list of their volunteers. |
