Best "beauty secrets"?

Maybe not secrets, but tips that may not be well known?

For me:

highlighter on corners of eyes to fake a "well rested" look

olive oil for really, really dry skin.. works especially well on hands

I had to smile when I saw your tip for getting a well-rested look, because when I first saw the subject line question, my instant response was:

SLEEP!

Highlighter? This is makeup, right... not a fluorescent yellow pen?

My favorites are Oh La Lift and the Eye Bright pencil. Both are by Benefit, but I am guessing any light pink fat eye pencil will do.

Queen Helene's green peppermint mask for drying up blemishes. You can use it as a full facial mask and I sometimes do, but for putting on spots overnight, I swear by it. It usually takes a couple nights to get rid of blemishes. Find it at drugstores.

I'm addicted to Bliss's salt scrub. It's expensive as hell and I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative, but it's great for giving yourself a rubdown before showering, then rinsing off in the shower. Leaves the skin smooth - it's especially great for elbows, knees, heels, etc.

Have you tried Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub. I love it and it is inexpensive.

I second Trader Joe's Lavender salt scrub. I've never tried Bliss, but the Trader Joe's one smells wonderful.

Anyone else try Proactive? I am 35 and still get acne! I would love to have clear skin. Is it any better than the rest of the OTC acne washes, etc.? I've always wondered...
