Restaurant in upper NW / Bethesda

Anonymous
DW and I are going to an afternoon party in Bethesda this weekend and want to have a date night dinner following the event. Any suggestions for cool / fun / great restaurants in upper NW?

We are not the most adventurous eaters, but we're not strictly meat and potatoes either. Something with a lively vibe would be good. Really open to any suggestions.

Food Wine & Co (assume that's what you were referring to) closed last week. Disappointing.

OP I've been to the new Kapnos Kouzina twice already and it's fun and great food.

The only issue I have with Kapnos it is so loud. almost impossible to have conversation.

would head to Raku for a "date night"

Just make a reservation. It gets really busy.

I don't like Raku Bethesda for a date. Tables close together. Lighting is harsh. Restaurant is noisy. The Raku in Cleveland park is nicer than Bethesda or DuPont.

We tried Passionfish last weekend and it had a lively vibe. And a great happy hour.
