He played Wolftrap last night with Patty Griffin. He was fantastic. This was the third time I've seen Griffin in under a year and all three times, her voice was not up to par. She DID have a cold in Nashville, so that was probably a good reason. Last night, she missed notes and slid off others. She was holding one ear so she might not have been hearing herself accurately. She was good, but it does make me wonder if she's struggling lately.

| I saw Guy Clark a few years ago at the Birchmere. It was Guy, Joe Ely, John Hiatt, and Lyle Lovett. 4 chairs, 4 guitars, and they just went around taking turns with songs. It was amazing. |
