Divorcing: what are my odds to move out of state?

I can't afford to live here. I want to move to the midwest where I have family and have a better opportunity for nice, safe neighborhood. Is there any chance I will prevail if I seek to relocate? What rationale is needed for a judge to grant this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Where are you and how old are your kids? Do you think your ex would ever agree? I have a lawyer recommendation for MD if you need one. We are now in counseling but this was my exact question and she seemed fairly optimistic.

Would your ex follow you? I think the question you should be asking is if your kids will be better off with the other parent so far away that they cannot effectively participate in the child(ren)'s lives.

Have you considered lowering your standards and life style?
I'm a nanny, attending school full time and I can afford to live in a safe and very beautiful place with great schools.
