Why do people so often say this?

There are actually lots of supportive and productive threads "over there".

Because explicit doesn't show up in recent topics, so you get a smaller cross section of DCUMs.

Because some people can't go to explicit from their work computers, so the dialogue takes place mainly at night/on weekends, and maybe the poster isn't available during that time.

Because people go to explicit to get off, not to solve someone's relationship problems.

I've been to the explicit section 2 times. First time was my first visit to DCUM and I was checking out the various forums and the second time was an accidental click. Lots of weird and disturbing stuff in those threads.

I find that people in explicit are extraordinarily sexually driven and so don't usually have the kind of advice I want. Like me, mom who enjoys sex about once a week, occasionally something fun and interesting...I feel like they would think I'm boring and their advice I wouldn't want to follow. If they suggest anal beads or something, like that's not me, which is fine, I run more mainstream people are in non explicit.

Also there are a lot of just, it feels to me like a bunch of guys masturbating while they read that forum and I'd prefer not to participate in that.

I think it's funny when people post on both boards and get chewed up and spit out on non explicit, but get support and help on explicit. I've seen that a few times but people don't double post very often.

I used to accidentally click over there on occasion and that is a weird and different world over there for sure. Now that it doesn't come up on recent topics anymore I don't accidentally click on those threads anymore. "Show me your (private body part)"....and middle aged moms and dads taking and posting links to pictures of themselves. I've never looked at any of those pictures but you can tell from the comments on the thread that they must be posting selfies of themselves (or of someone they know) for others to look at.

And then some of the topics over there....no thanks. It's a different sort of mentality. I wouldn't want a question moved over there either...delete it first before moving it over there.

Why delete it? You might get help there. You might not.

I post in both sections depending on the topic. I have concluded that people over there are way more open, honest and non judgemental. I find many people on this side are a little too "proper" and prude and I am a very sexual women, so I probably fit in better with the "nasty people" lol...I don't give a damn really. I am leading a very happy and fulfilling live, unlike so many here who seem so angry all the time.
