I was a white collar associate at a big firm for several years, a trial attorney at main justice for a couple of years, and now have been an enforcement lawyer at one of the financial regulators for a few years. I currently directly supervise ten other attorneys and indirectly supervise about 40 more. I am interested in making a move to doing in-house compliance in the next couple of years. From those who are currently in the compliance field, would my background be desirable? What experience should I focus on getting to make myself competitive for in-house compliance jobs?
