Has anyone used rover.com for pet sitters and dog walkers?

Two of my friends have used it for pet sitters and had good experiences.

We used it for a housesitter/petsitter for a long vacation and it turned out to be a nightmare. I'm sure there are good ones on the site but the woman we hired came with glowing recommendations and turned out to be a nightmare. All our animals were fine but our house wasn't. Throw pillows were chewed up because the dogs weren't exercised enough as one example.

We got home and were accused of mistreating her because we didn't tell her that one of our dogs had "puppy energy" and she would have charged us more for him. It was our fault that we didn't tell her that our other dog had some separation anxiety issues and she had to spend lots of time with him at the beginning of her stay. We told her that the young dog was a year old, housebroken but needed to go to the dog park or for a long walk every day. We specifically told her that the reason we wanted her to stay at the house was because of the other dog and his separation issues. I work from home so the dogs are accustomed to having someone around much of the time. She had a job where she worked from home and could hang out with the dogs while she worked. We told her all of this when we had our initial meeting and again on the day we left When we reminded her of these conversations upon our return we were accused of being aggressive and not taking her feelings seriously.

I haven't gone into half of the crap. I'm not posting her name and we didn't leave negative feedback because we were seriously afraid she was going to sue us for ruining her reputation.

I'm sure that there are really good ones on there but you have to be careful.
