Pool cost?

How much does it cost (rough range) to install a pool in the yard? I want something that is a decent size that my kids could swim in. I know it varies but just wondering range of how much folks have paid in DC area.

Gunnite salt water pool with in-floor cleaner and auto-cover. $95k which included the hardscape but not the landscaping.

What killed us was the landscaping and fencing around the pool. The pool itself was around 30k but the total job ended up being 70.

Gunnite 25,000? gallon pool. Twenty years ago $40,000. Now have to either redo or remove. Cannot decide which to choose. Redo will cost minimum $20,000.

Any recommendations for a company to install a pool? We have a very specific and simple idea in mind that will work with our relatively small back yard.

This is one investment where you likely won't get your money back when you sell.

How much does it cost? How much do you have?

Not the OP, but we are looking at a gunnite salt water as well (including cleaner/filtration and auto cover). Could you mention how big your pool was?

Cost out how much your home insurance will go up if you have a pool. Also if there are fence requirements to have one in your county.

I just got an add in the mail for some cheapy pool company advertising $30k for a basic in-ground pool ( http://www.catalinapoolbuilders.com ). That does not include the surrounding concrete deck, landscaping, or fence so I think you're looking at a minimum of $50k and that's for the most basic setup. It's definitely $75k+ for something nice.
