| Are they always crazy expensive? My dad is treating my family and my brother's family to an all-inclusive over Thanksgiving...totally awesome and generous! But I'm just looking at flights and they are outrageous? BWI to Montego Bay on Southwest is like $700/person....other flights, with stops, are not much cheaper and have ridiculously bad itineraries (requiring an overnight in Charlotte). Am I missing something? Any other better options out there? I looked at flying out of Newark but it's not much better. |

| Any flight anywhere is going to be outrageous at Thanksgiving. Maybe what you might want to try and do is break up the trip- get to Miami or somewhere for cheaper then go from there.. |

I don't understand why people keep posting about traveling during the holidays and being surprised it is so expensive. Thanksgiving is one of the busiest time of the year to travel!
OP, I would look at Google Flights. You can put in your destination, how many stops you want to make, and then look at all dates. For example, I just put in earlier dates in Nov and got American with a stop in Miami for $434 r/t out of DCA. |
