at the park. My son has taken beginner lessons there and the counselors at the camp are from the Wilson Tennis team. Cost is reasonable and the director is there all the time and loves to play and teach.

There is another coach at Lafayette as well who is not directly involved with the Lafayette Tennis program. He is an African American gentleman (don't know his name), but he is there giving private lessons to children and adults all the time, so you can just stop by and check him out. He seems very nice and popular for lessons!

RDU Tennis is having half day camp at AU. I've heard good things about the camps last year at Trinity. We've signed up.

Can your kid take handle camps led by a coach who doesn't coddle the kids? In that case check Washington Tennis & Education foundation. They have a summer camp at Rock Creek Park, where Citi Open takes place. Some of the best instructions in DC Metro.
