Infertility Support and Discussion
| We already have one DD and conceiving her was really easy. It literally happened the month I went off birth control and we weren't really trying at all. We've been trying for #2 for almost 6 months now and I'm starting to get concerned because we are actively monitoring days and ovulation and such and no luck. When would you start consider seeing a fertility specialist? I'm under 35, so people have said I need to wait a year, but really? A whole year? I suspect that I might not be ovulating because the opk's are not picking anything up. Anything else had this happen to them? |
| I think you can go ahead and make an appointment with an RE to get checked out. You don't have to act on it yet. I don't see any point in delaying, especially if you have reason to believe you're not ovulating. |

Are you taking your temperature each morning, too? I'd try that for a month - sometimes the OPKs won't pick anything up but you can still be ovulating. It will just give you more information.
And FWIW, I am under 35 and have gotten pregnant 3 times - all took around 6 months. So I know what you're going through. But getting pregnant the first month is really the exception rather than the norm (despite what people seem to say on this board some times). |
