My 12-yo son is begging me to get him this. Does your son have it, and if so, how old is he? I've looked at the Commonsense Media review & checked out a video of the game online, and it actually seems less problematic to me than a game like Star Wars: Battlefront. JC 3 seems to focus more on mindless, wanton destruction of buildings than hunting down and killing people. However, it's rated 18+. Thoughts? Opinions? |

I consider myself very strict on media content, but the reviews on this game don't bother me. One mom made some distinctions between JC3 and JC2 (which was misogynistic in several ways). And I think Common Sense Media is generally more strict than I am, by a few years.
I'd be OK with a 12 year old playing it. |

I think it depends on the maturity of the individual child. My 12 yo I wouldn't trust to play games more than little big planet or the dragonball z games and stuff he plays. Very family friendly in general.
My 14 yo I trust with pretty much any game as long as I know it's not horribly explicit. For example I wouldn't let him play grand theft auto. But call of duty or games like the last of us and stuff I have no problem with |
