I'M GOING TO PREFACE THIS BY SAYING THIS IS NOT A DEBATE POST AND ANY DISCUSSION OF PROS/CONS OF CIRCUMCISON BELONG ELSEWHERE
Okay, so I have two kids, my DD Jamie (17) and my DS Drew (11). When he was born, I decided not to have him circumsized. Last night, Jamie was looking through a family photo album and she saw a baby picture of Drew where you could see his "bits and pieces". She came up to me obviously horrified and asked my why I didn't have him cut. She told me that every girl she knows thinks it's incredibly gross and he'll never get a girlfriend when he's older. According to her this girl found out a boy in his grade wasn't circumsized and all the girls bullied him mercilessly. This was the prevalent attitude when I was a teen but I had no idea it was still common today. Can anyone verify if it's still common for younger girls to have that attitude? AGAIN, NOT A CIRCIMCISON DEBATE, MY QUESTION IS NOT IF YOU PERSONALLY THINK IT'S BETTER! |

| Where do you live? It is not an issue in urban areas with sophisticated young girls who come in contact with an international crowd or immigrants. |

| Per my pediatrician 10 yrs ago when DS was born, it's 50/50 - so a girl is going to have to rule out at least 50% of eligible men if that's how she feels. I say, good luck to her. She's going to need a lot of it. |

I don't know much about Great Falls, sorry. We live in DC proper and DD says it is a non issue for her and her friends. |

| Just discussed this with 5 girlfriends last night. We all agreed that circed penises looked better and were cleaner. The only benefit we saw to leaving it intact was that there might be more sensation for the man. I was surprised they all preferred circed penises since many of them dated European or international men who weren't circumcised. |

| The more pressing question is, why on earth do 17 year old girls have an opinion on this? Have they seen THAT many dicks? That is the larger issue. I lost my virginity at 16, and when i was that age i had no idea what the difference was, and certainly would not have had a preference or discussion with my friends. your kid needs a hobby or two. |
