How do I copy sonogram pictures?

I'd love to make glossy copies of the 12 week sonogram pics, is there a safe way to do this? I've heard heat can turn the entire picture black so now I am a bit paranoid. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Can you just take a picture of your sonogram with your phone and then upload that to whatever website to make your prints?

^This. I wanted copies for the grandparents when we let them know we were pregnant, so I took a picture with my phone (added bonus - it was easy to crop out the surrounding text while doing so and just have the baby) and had a few 4x6 printed at CVS. Turned out great.

I've been using a regular scanner to scan all of mine to the computer. If you don't have one, you can go to CVS, Walgreens, etc and use their scanners/have prints made. Scanners do not produce enough heat to harm the image.
