Trump doesn't agree with his own tax plan

Does it lower taxes on the rich? Or does it raise taxes on the rich? Can't even get a straight answer out of him...

He's an idiot. But his supporters are unlikely to even notice. So in that sense he is a genius.

Correct. And he just said "you never have to default because your print the money."

Watch MTP and see how Trump schooled that little puppet Chuck Todd. He was trying pull another gotcha and Trump put him back to his place. Trump has provided a tax plan, the biggest tax cut of all of the proposals. But he knows he will have to negotiate with the congress, and the final product will be different from his plan. The final product may require the rich pay more taxes than his proposals, and that's fine with him. What he won't negotiate with congress is the middle class tax cuts.

Whatever you may think of Trump, the guy is brilliant in positioning himself.

His latest position is that the stand he was taking on all the issues during the primaries is a starting point for negotiation. With that one move, he will just say that anything he said during the primaries is essentially negotiable.

Are you sure he's not saying that any stand he's ever taken is negotiable? I'm pretty sure that once he's elected he would say that he just "said that to get elected" and therefore now its up to him to make the decisions.

Goes to show what a scammer he is...

Do you work for Trump or something, because this is the second time you've posted the same thing.

Trump seems to always have to "clarify" or back-track on what he's stated. Seems to be his m.o.

I am not sure he would put it the way you stated but the man is essentially a pragmatist - which is why the doctrinaire conservatives on the Republican party don't like him. Ultimately, he is open to negotiating most issues and reaching some sort of compromise. He is way more of a pragmatist than is Hillary because he is not a politician who feels a need to follow a specific philosophy.

Maybe he should have told the primary voters this beforehand, rather than after he becomes the presumptive nominee.

He took multiple positions on different issues. Voters were not looking for consistency - they wanted someone who would shake up the system.

This is terrifying. Countries that do this end up in big trouble.

Sure, he's positioned himself to maximize his vote yield from the 30% of the American public that are totally fucking clueless Fox news "conservatives." Add to that approximately 13% or so of the relatively less-insane GOP-ers who will wind up rationalizing voting for him in November by some "holding their noses" nonsense, and perhaps another 2% of clueless people who don't know what day of the week it is. At 45%, still likely to be a historic blowout for the general.

Works for me.
