He said the name of the retirement community during the presser, but I didn't take note. Maybe someone else remembers?

The Village. It's near Travilla, I believe.

A reporter asked if officials could, at the very least, provide an "upcountry" or "downcounty" description of where the three patients reside. Gayles declined.

This is beyond ridiculous. We have a right to know. When other diseases and viruses break out they are very specific. Even says stores, train stations, ATM machines. What is the big secret here. This is so shady.

Why are people so obsessed with learning where the person lives and where they've been? It truly does not matter. They've been out, and other people have touched what they touched, and they've then gone and touched more things. Knowing this information may provide you with a sense of security if they live in Germantown and you live in Bethesda, but it is a totally artificial sense of security. It doesn't matter.

Because: a gym they might have used needs disinfecting. The school where their grandchildren go needs info, where there adult children work needs info, their commute to work on a metro needs cleaning, the eldercare event hall they attended needs disinfecting , as does the facility and staff. That's why. That's how it can help be contained. That's what is happening in NY.

If they use a gym the gym has been notified, if they went to a Hallmark story last Wednesday that store has been notified. They are just not saying all the info publicly.

Bullshit... if that were the case, everyone would know by now. We are all just finding it out now- word of mouth, and Hogan was pressed about the retirement community today when asked.
No, they were not informed.

That info comprises the couple, but not even the woman in her 50s. This needs to come forward

Stop worrying about elementary schools and focus on the at risk population.

A relative is in a center in Maryland that is discouraging family visitation and no longer serving communal meals.

Does anyone know how many days are they infected now? It sounds like they have a mild case since they are all quarantined at home and doing well, but I suppose that could depend on how many days have passed?

Maryland governor is giving a press conference now. Confirmed that the three positives in Maryland are also from that Egyptian cruise and are linked to the 6 people in Houston from that cruise. One of the Maryland individuals had contact with a school in Philadelphia this week. Apparently the Philadelphia school and a few nearby others closed today upon being notified by Maryland. One of the other Maryland individuals went to a Rockville senior living center from 12pm-6pm on Saturday and had contact with 70-100 people while there.... ugh

Why on EARTH would someone go on a cruise in February, knowing what's been going on for a MONTH???

I guessed the Egyptian cruise a number of pages back because the Grand Princess dates didn't work.

I am pretty sure he was told not to say last night because our State Department or similar wanted the cruise location to wait until Egypt had a chance to announce the cases of their 12 infected crew people this morning.

"One of the Maryland patients attended a public event on Feb. 29 at the Village at Rockville, a retirement community, where they were in contact with approximately 70-100 individuals including outside visitors as well as residents and staff," Hogan said. "Due to the scale of that gathering, we are urging anyone who attended an event last Saturday at the Village at Rockville between noon and 6 p.m. to immediately contact your healthcare provider or the Maryland Emergency Management Agency Call Center at 410-517-3720

Here’s the fallacy in that approach: wouldn’t they have infected people there, so anyone visiting an asymptomatic infected person there on a subsequent day is also at risk?
