Kane from Kaneshow divorcing and crying on air right now

[While I generally would agree with you, we're not local "celebrities" in the public eye... There's been various comments made on this thread about how people were asking, posting on his facebook, looking up his freaking court records. So I would say he could have done this differently, perhaps "better", but he's held to a different standard in disclosing his personal issues than you and your neighbors. My point being, was that this was not an example of a bipolar episode and we need to stop throwing out accusations of mental illness when people engage differently than we would have.

As a former intern for the show I can also confirm that roses is fake. Voice actors, but I agree with that it doesn't mean it's less entertaining. We all know reality television is fake but millions of people watch it.

Where's your proof that it's fake? I could also say I work for the show and that it is real. Just reading a post somewhere doesn't mean it's true so I refuse to believe it's fake until I see some proof.

Think about it. War of the Roses is done on numerous shows across the country and has been going on for YEARS. Who at this point would still be falling for it?

Also who he hell would continue the call once caught, and who would give their consent for it to be aired on multiple radio stations? Common sense

Plenty of people I know don't listen to the radio at all. Just because we know about it doesn't mean everyone does. Kane also asks for their permission to continue or the person will look really bad. He words it cleverly in such a way that most guys would want to "clear their name" somehow, probably by trying to lie through it. Now since I live on the west coast I don't know anyone who has personally called the Kane show for a Roses, but I do know someone personally who has called up the Johnjay and Rich show to go on their segment (based out of Phoenix) and that was completely legit. I have no reason to doubt Kane's bit is staged until you submit some proof. And a wikipedia page saying it's fake does not count as proof.

I've also heard Kane say that Roses are getting harder to do because more people seem wise to it, so they have to trash those recordings when the person catches on and knows what's going on.

You're probably the same person that thinks "House Hunters" on HGTV is real.

It's against the law to tape someone without their consent FIRST in MD (where the show originates) and per FCC rules. It would be against the law to tape folks and then let them in on the joke and ask for consent (which is what Kane says they do). Elliott (who also works for clear channel) alluded to this long ago. The Wikipedia page explains that it's a clear channel bit. The gawker article dumbs it down and explains it to slow people who haven't caught on.

I'm not sure how else to break it down for you. It's fake. Voice actors. They play the same bit on hundreds of stations across the country.

I saw an article the other day about a woman who was arrested and facing criminal charges for putting a tape recorder in her kids diaper bag while they were visiting their dad (divorced). It was an invasion of his privacy and illegal because their state doesn't permit taping without consent. She's in custody right now. See how this works? Not possible for a radio show (or anyone) to hit record with full consent.

Define reality TV, meaning, give examples. I don't doubt some of it is embellished as hell, but not all of it is.

Yes, Don cleared everyone out of the room when he spoke very raw about Freda.

The person that spent 20K on a divorce? Wow. If you didn't have kids, or real property, you could have saved a lot of money and done the paperwork yourself. Your divorce did not go final until a year has passed, that is how it works in MD with kids. VA is the same way, as I have had multiple friends go through it.

The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, current seasons of Survivor, Storage Wars, any "reality" show on VH1. Would it helped if I said that the Kane Show's reactions to the voice actors are real? When it comes down to it radio is entertainment and people like things that are over exaggerated and just plain ridiculous. Obviously there's enough people out there who like Roses for them to keep doing it. Trust me when I say that if something isn't working for the show they stop doing it. Anyone noticed how they did the 2nd date update for awhile and stopped doing that?

Current seasons of Survivor? Uh, no. If you go back to season one, Stacey tried to sue CBS because she claimed that producers told her to vote a certain way but that never saw the light of day. Survivor changed the face of reality TV (as did The Real World). You don't have 30+ seasons of a show without doing something right.

Regarding WOTR - the Wiki page shows links that gives evidence of how fake it is. It took me a few months to catch on because some of it was too far fetched to be believable and some of the voices sounded familiar after a period of time. The reason Kane says "you are on the radio" is to make newbies think the bit is real, when in fact, it isn't. WOTR is taped ahead of time, and I suspect it is scripted in some cases for one of the actors to hang up and Kane makes it look like it was hard to get a hold of someone. I don't dispute that it is entertaining, but since it isn't real, it isn't something that one could relate to.

Just think, if this was 20 or so years ago, people could have recorded Kane's statement on a cassette. He spoke around 7:45, right? That is primetime for people to be driving, so of course the odds of someone being able to record it were slim to none, since a link has yet to pop up that has the statement, which I feel everyone that has chimed on here is looking for.

If WOTR is fake, then why do some of those idiot scorned bitches blow their cover too early. Real as real ya'll. Real as real.

Anyone remember when they use to do the VD clinic on WOTR? That's when I first knew it was fake.

You're kidding, right? Those are women ACTING like idiot scorned bitches. Actors. Not real. I've known for a few years and I'll admit I was disappointed when I found out (they were entertaining!) but sadly, it's true.
