What has Moon done to reduce school violence? |
So you don’t have a single example of a comment you think was inaccurately called a lie? Got it. |
+1 |
DP. Moon is fine. Telling, though, that the FCDC rewarded him for years of thoughtful and moderate service in 2019 by denying him an endorsement. It took four years of Abrar Omeish regularly embarrassing herself and the local Democrats for them to give him another chance. |
Telling also that they endorsed him now--they learned from their earlier mistake. I was disappointed that he didn't have the endorsement earlier, and I would have voted for him if he ran. But I can critique the Dem SB/FCDC without running to a far worse option. |
I have never voted R in my life but this election I will vote R for school board. I’m sick tired of this equity nonsense, which, in my opinion, tries to bring equity by lowering all the standards.
Also, while I have nothing against transgender and all that gender stuff, I strongly think schools must tell parents/guardians what is happening with their children in school. There must be TRUST between school and parents to better serve ALL students. And last, while I don’t agree with book banning, I think I good compromise would be to require parents’s permission for their children to access controversial books, at least up to sophomore year. That said, I will vote D for everything else as abortion rights is *MY* single voting issue. |
+1 I am voting the same way for the same reasons. |
You can remain a lemming but the reality is that most of the current FCDC-endorsed candidates are more like Omeish (inexperienced ideologues) than Moon (who wasn’t far left enough to make the cut four years ago). |
It wasn’t FCDC who endorsed Moon. It was an open caucus where anybody (including Republicans) could vote. And several thousand did. |
And the other available candidates? Worse. |
They endorsed Moon. They used an open caucus process to inform their decision which I thought was wise. |
Not really? The SB makes noises about improving academics but they always seem to get sidetracked by other things. |
Disagree. Moon is a decent guy, although he’s been kicked around so much by the local Democrats over the years that he probably has Stockholm Syndrome at this point. No one knows why Ryan McElveen is running again. He couldn’t have acted more bored and disinterested the last couple of years he was on the board. He hasn’t found another office he could win (he was a distant third in the BOS primary), but this a step back for him. And there’s rarely been a bigger flake running for local office than Kyle McDaniel. Didn’t like him as a Republican? Fine, he’ll repackage himself as a far-left Democratic. Too boring as a white bread dad? Fine, he’ll declare that he’s a bisexual ally and close friend of Robert Rigby and the rest of the Liberty Fund core team. No idea what persona he’ll adopt if he’s elected. David and AuCoin are far, far better choices for the other two at-large slots. |
Davis not David? What about the others? |
Davis and Aucoin? The republicans ? No thanks. |
