| There are actually nice hotels on the beach in Barcelona itself. I loved walking along the ocean there. And Las Ramblas is in close walking distance. |

San Sebastian in on the complete other coast. Yes it's lovely, but that's not what I would call near Barcelona. The most famous beach near Barcelona is Sitges, but that's not exactly family friendly. What about Ibiza? How old are you and what kind of scene are you looking for? |

| The Costa Brava isn't far away but it gets pretty full of Brits and other European tourists. |
