| Punta Cana, DR safe in late June with kids? Youngest is five years old. We are booked at a resort for 4 nights. Youngest child has some immune system issues. I am worried that one sighting of a mosquito is going to ruin my vacation. Big family celebration event is at stake. |

I think it's dangerous because it'll be June in a humid climate. Don't you care about people's hair, OP? That's the major concern I see.
Seriously, this is a concern for your child's pediatrician, not us. |

| Take Deet 8 (which is supposedly the best) and stay away from bushes. Stay in the water, and you should be fine. |

| I never once got bitten at a resort in the DR. I think they control mosquitos pretty well. But take spray with you anyway cause it will be crazy expensive there. |
