Intermediate tennis lessons for 9 yr od

DD has gotten pretty good at volleying and she wants to take it to the next level. The current place we take lessons seems to be be more focused on the beginner level. Any good program recommendations for intermediate to advanced in the Arlington/Falls Church/McLean area?

Where do you take lessons now? how good is she? Does she play matches? Do you belong to a pool/tennis club?

I didn't exactly follow what her current level is, but if I could go back in time, I would have saved most of my money that was spent on lessons (allocate ~30 minutes per week to the local pro), visit the local public tennis courts and play with the stag players practicing serves.

4-star (http://4startennis.com/) tends to work with the best junior players in northern Virginia. They have a facility in Merrifield, near the intersection of 495/50

Fairfax Racquet Club -- less intense than 4-star but has strong programs for all levels

4-Star operates a Maryland program out of Bullis. JTCC in College Park

So 4star in VA is closing next year.

Which of the other local facilities has a good program?
Fairfax Racquet Club, Regency, Worldgate? What other programs are around, and which ones are good?

There is a tennis coach at Mclean Sports and Health Regency that can take your DD to the next level, if you think your DD has the potential. Your daughter needs to take "private" lessons with him. He is the best one I see in this area and I've seen so many in the past ten years. The coach name is Marty Hublitz. Call Mclean S&H to inquire about him.

Btw, I would stay away from 4Star. 4Star is now at Mclean Regency, Arlington YMCA and another place in Tyson Corner that I can't remember.

We go to school in Vienna and play at Fairfax Racquet Club. My child is 8. They have classes in the various levels- Red, Orange, Green, Yellow. It's good for beginning to intermediate players. We've also played at Burke Racquet and Swim, but class times didn't work out this year.
