Late birthday transfer

Will PG allow December birthday children, who entered public kindergarten at age 4 (out-of-state) to continue in kindergarten as transfers or to enter first grade the following year after completing the out-of-state kindergarten? TIA!

For entrance into 1st grade next year, your child will likely need to take the 1st grade readiness test offered by the county school system. I would call the pgcps early childhood office to confirm.

In fact, if you can, I would wait until your child is ready to enter second grade. Then you won't have to deal with the K and 1st grade age cut offs.
