I have been having the most frustrating interactions with American Express lately. The customer service is not what I remember it being.
Please tell me is there a credit card that actually has great customer service? Maybe I need a different level of AMEX? They used to be great. |
| Which Amex do you have? |
| Does it matter? |
|
Try being a little more polite and you will find that your interactions with other people tend to go more smoothly. In 1/3 of the words you took to write your snarky response you could have answered my question.
I've had a Platinum card since I was in my 20's, and I've found their customer service much more willing to go above and beyond than my brother and GF (who both have the non-charge Blue cards), though in both cases the CS is still a cut above most other credit card companies. |
| Dis cover has always been good to me. |
| Mine connects me directly and instantly to someone in India. |
| AmEx is still the best customer service I've had on a credit card. Not sure if its trending downward or not, but I haven't found something better. |
Same. And I've been a card holder since 1989. |
| Amex / Discover by far. |
| Citicards has also been a positive experience |

I've always had a great experience with Amex, even recently. USAA card services are also great.
|
| Platinum and above AmEx has great service. Lots of concierge help, no hassles. |
| I love my AmEx. I've always found their customer to be outstanding -- both when I was a regular cc user and now as platinum. |
| I've had good luck with Amex (Plat) but also Chase Sapphire and Citi Prestige. |
