College Signing Day continues the First Lady’s efforts to inspire young people to pursue their education past high school. In addition to the First Lady’s event in New York, more than 1,000 College Signing Day events have been planned in nearly every state by communities, students, and organizations committed to helping students pursue higher education. The First Lady is encouraging people across the country to join her in marking College Signing Day by wearing college apparel and sharing the importance of higher education on social media through #CollegeSigningDay and #BetterMakeRoom.

Well jeez it's not just about her. Either way she's attending a highly selective college that receives thousands of applications. It's not like she'll go to some unknown school that would drastically change how many apps they receive.

Swarthmore is excellent and it doesn't matter that not a lot of people have heard of it. PBO has stated his advice to his daughters was not worrying about picking a fancy, brand name school (like the Ivy League schools). A small, highly selective liberal arts will do her well.
