Around Round of "Help me name my baby!"

I'm almost 30 weeks with LO #2. We don't know the sex. We are pretty set on a boy name but are grasping at straws for girl names, although we both like the nickname Birdie (my DH is open to it as a name or middle name...I'm not so sure). Here's what has made the list so far. Any preferences or suggestions?

Katrin Marie
Katherine Marie (DH doesn't like Katherine, but I do)
Jessie Marie
Pearl Katherine (Our girl name for LO #1). I used to love it. Not as sure this time.

FWIW, our son is named Hardy.

Katrin Marie - NO, looks like a made up name
Katherine Marie (DH doesn't like Katherine, but I do) - this one
Jessie Marie - Jessie is fine for a little kid but not very grown up - name her Jessica and then call her Jessie if you wish
Pearl Katherine - Pearl... sick

Pearl is an AWFUL name.

Jessie, Katrin and Katherine are fine. Marie is boring - so it's perfect for a middle name.

I have three cousins named Jessica. One has always, only, gone by Jessie. She's 43 and nobody would ever think of calling her anything else.

One went by Jessica as a child and now Jess as an adult. Dunno about the third.

The problem with Jessica is that many people change it to Jess regardless of the person's wishes.

I like Katherine, Pearl, and Jessie.

I disagree Jessie isn't okay for an adult - I know several ("Jesse" is the male version and certainly not a nickname) and it is no issue. With any name people might create their own nicknames (Jess, Kat, whatever.)

I know two grown-up Jessies whose birth-certificate name is Jessie. Apparently people often assume that their birth-certificate name must be Jessica, but it isn't.

I like Pearl.

I kind of like Pearl.

(BTW, the use of Katherine and wanting to use Birdie as a nickname reminded me of this book:

Hardy and Pearl? I don't think so...

Katherine Marie. Love it. Or Marie Katherine. I don't think Marie is a boring name at all. How many Maries do you know?? Me - ONE. But everybody knows the name, can spell it, and say it, but it is more unique than the 1000 Katherines out there.

Just my $.02

"Birdie" is horrible. Why would you use that?
