Just about to move to DC from the UK and our eldest son who is 5, will be enrolling in elementary school. We're looking to live in the Alexandria area, and based on what we've read on line in the school rankings, Lyles Crouch looks like a good option. Be great to hear any thoughts/feedback from those of you that know the school area much better than us. Many thanks in advance! |
It's a very good school. There are a number of posts about it in this forum. Search the name or LCTA, which is a commonly used abbreviation. |
One thing to keep in mind is possible redistricting within the school district.
That being said, Old Town is terrific. |
It's a wonderful school. Depending on the results of the very fuzzy redistricting exercise, the better schools/catchments in Alexandria City are viewed by many as Barrett, Lyles-Crouch, Maury, Mason, and MacArthur mon the east-side, and only Polk and Tucker on the West side. Good luck --
