Long weekend this summer: driving distance from DC

We are looking into taking a long weekend trip this June/July somewhere within driving distance of DC. We have been to the Cambridge, MD Hyatt several times and loved it, but want to check out somewhere new. Chincoteague was also awesome, but we were also there recently and want to go somewhere new. I don't want to go to somewhere like Sesame Place this summer because I won't be able to go on many rides (pregnant). There will be three of us: myself (pregnant woman), DH and our 3 year old.
I would love any suggestions: we have looked into Greenbrier which seems awesome, but honestly I would rather wait to go there until I am not pregnant. Feel the same way about the Homestead. I'm not sure how exciting Wintergreen would be in the off-season... Thanks in advance! |
