I thought I'd replied. It's a very good center on the whole, probably more laid back than some of the pressure cooker/larger TJ feeders (my theory is on that is that the people who are really gung ho about TJ see the TJ admission numbers from those pyramids and move to those centers, increasing the frenzy).
It's also not huge (usually two AAP classes and four Gen Ed classes in each grade). Still, it's a large school and there are kids in trailers in the upper grades. |

I didn't reply at first because my child is now a freshman and I know that there has been some teacher turnover. But we were very happy at Mantua. I thought the school was well run, the teachers (generally) good and kind, and with none of the angst that seems to be expressed here about many other centers. I thought the school as a whole had a great sense of community. I do wonder if the fact that the GenEd classes outnumber the AAP classes helps with that.
We were also very happy with Frost for MS AAP. |
22:21 again. My kids have also graduated and I agree with 18:38 about the sense of community. Of course I don't have any other centers to compare to
