I got an offer, too, last night. I do not have much info but heard a few good things about her. I took an offer.

PP

Okay so we're second string offers then. Thanks! We've got a number of tryouts next week so we'll wait to decide. My DD liked her too.

Can you do that? I think they have 48 hrs timeline?

The system they use for offers is setup by default at 48 hours, however, you can email them and request an extension but there is no guarantees that they'll be able to hold spot. Just like your child has tryouts next week and might join another club, they can't pass on potential players wanting to fill a spot they offerred your child.

All clubs around here do this. If they actually want your kid they'll hold a spot. Definitely a gamble; but getting locked down a week before other tryouts is stupid unless it's your top team pick for next year. The massive FOMO of travel parents in the DMV is why clubs are even able to push this quick decision on posters in the first place.

This.

My friend's son had a free standing offer for a team last year at a big club the coaches wanted him that badly. The 48 hour rule counts for families they don't actually care about

Honestly, after watching other VRSC coaches at practices she looks better than most of the girl's coaches so I wouldn't be surprised if that was a genuine opinion of a revolution parent.... not that it holds up against other clubs' coaches. If you're just used to mediocre when you get an ok coach you think they're the best thing ever.

Any observations on turnout (quantity and quality) at VRSC’s 2013G tryouts tonight? Was it just current VR and FCV players or did they get players from LS or any other clubs?
Anonymous
DD was a former LS top team and we decided to move to FCV (top team) and then VRSC top team.
After three moves we realized we missed LS a lot but VRSC gave DD more training, a more friendly coach and environment, and a better field, Now we are torn if we have to pick between these two club 😫

The VRSC girls 2013 teams should get better next year with a bunch of FCV players joining.

This.

Fcv players have been IDing for the past couple weeks at Black team practices so I'm assuming a number are looking to jump ship at this point at multiple different age groups.

Nearly the entire first and second 2013 FCV teams missed practice last night to attend Rev’s tryouts, so more than a few are looking to jump ship. AB blew any chance FCV had of keeping them with his stunt this week, which clearly demonstrated that he didn’t care at all about those girls.

VRSC is MLS next according to NE, should be pretty competitive.

Starting in the fall? Haven't seen anything on their website or IG about it.

That's what has been said from NE and the club.

No a year from now hopefully. It would be 2025 if they are accepted.

It will always be next year… until they can pay off enough decision makers (see GA acceptance)

All the while suckers are forking out $4K including team costs (not uniforms nor travel) for a great field but no real development.

Complete salesman dream 🤭
