TMI - periods

Anonymous
So I had a baby (my first) 7 months ago and started getting regular periods again a few months ago. Only problem is, the tampons I used to use don't seem to fit anymore. I guess I'm bigger "down there" than I used to be, and sometimes they won't stay in. Granted, the tampons I used were pretty slender, but still.

So what happens now? Are there some tampons that are a little bigger than the slender "regular" ones I had used? Do I need to switch it up to "Super?" I had always assumed that "super" was for "heavy flow" but is that not the case? I don't have heavy flow, so I don't need a super absorbent tampon, just one that's a little bigger around.

(I don't even want to think about what this means for my eventual s*x life, but I'll worry about this first.)

thanks.

You could try a different style tampon. E.g., O.B. open up in a flared pattern, as opposed to Tampax, that expand uniformly outward.

Kegel. Kegel. Kegel. Do 100 a day for a month and try again. But don't stop after that. Keep Kegeling.

Do Kegels, but time will help, too. I did switch to OB's after getting my period back because of this problem, but after maybe a year was able to go back to my regular Tampax. (And I rarely do Kegels anymore, although I do do pilates which helps the pelvic floor).

OP here - I did kegels all through the pregnancy so I wouldn't have the incontinence issue. it worked, but it never occurred to me to start doing them again. doh! thanks for the suggestions!
